Mr. Harvey W. Barbee, Jr., is a two-time graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts in 2004 and his Juris Doctorate of Law in 2008. He graduated from Chapel Hill with highest distinction and was elected into the membership of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society.
Harvey is active in the local community as a member of the Rotary Club of Kernersville. Harvey possesses a broad range of experience in contract disputes, criminal defense, traffic violations and domestic cases including child support, child custody and restraining orders. He also vigorously defends individuals who have been charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) and other criminal matters. Harvey has appeared in United States Federal Court arguing issues related to international child custody disputes and parental kidnapping. He has successfully appeared before the North Carolina Court of Appeals, winning a reversal of a lower court decision on the issue of grandparent custody. He is a lifelong resident of the Triad area, born and raised in High Point where he currently resides with his wife and daughter. Harvey is a huge Tar Heels fan and also enjoys golfing in his spare time.
